Puttur, December 31, 2024: A woman whose leg got trapped in a broken drainage pipe on the main road of the Puttur town, was rescued by locals on December 30 evening.


Leg stuck


The incident took place on the road near the flower market. The woman was walking on the roadside when she unknowingly stepped on the damaged pipe and her leg got caught. Locals who rushed to her rescue, cut the pipe using a machine.

The pipeline which has remained broken since some time has not been repaired by the local administration despite requests by citizens.
