Rajatha Udupi Beach Fest kicks off at Malpe

Udupi, Jan 21, 2023: The three day Rajatha Udupi Beach Fest organised by the Udupi District Administration, Department of Kannada and Culture and Tourism Department at the Malpe Beach was inaugurated on January 20, Friday evening by State Backward Classes Commission Chairman Jayaprakash Hegde.

 

In his address, Hegde said Udupi district needs farsighted programmes that will take note of the development and infrastructural needs of the district for the next several years.

Stating that tourism development still has to go a long way, he urged the public to write to the authorities regarding their problems as well as the works that need to be taken up.

Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat presided over the function. Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao, CMC President Sumitra R Nayak, CMC Vice President Laxmi Manjunath, ZP CEO Prasanna H, Additional DC Veena, Sports and Youth Empowerment Department Assistant Director Dr Roshan Kumar Shetty  and others were present.

On this occasion, Fly Board Water Sports activities were kickstarted with the  assistance of expert trainers from Oman.

Rajesh Krishnan and Chandan Shetty later presented a musical orchestra.

The Food Mela, Photo Exhibitor, Painting camp, fireworks and  illuminated boats are the main attractions of the Beach Fest.
