Mangaluru, Jan 23, 2023: The 6th Rama Lakshmana Kambala organised at Gold Finch City Ground at Bangrakulur under the leadership of Capt. Brijesh Chowta was inaugurated by  Chittaranjan Garody,  President of the Brahma Baidarkala Garody of Kankanady on January 22, Sunday. Sri Yogananda Saraswathi  Swamiji of Kondevur Mutt blessed the occasion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ganesh Rao, Chairman of Karavali Group of Educational Institutions, Capt Ganesh Karnik, former MLC, Retired Brigadier I N Rai, Guttigar Jayaram Shetty of Kudambur Guttu, Jayaram, P R Shetty Kulur Poyyelu and others were present on the dais.

A drawing competition was  organised in three categories and received good response. The competition was inaugurated by senior artist Ganesh Somayaji. In the Rangda Elya category, Hansika, Sachi K and Vamshika won the first three spots respectively while in Rangda Malla category, Akhil Sharma, Anvith Harish and Akshaj bagged the first three places respectively.

In Rangda Koota category  Jayashree Suvarna, Y Ayush and Kushi P Kunder secured the first three prizes respectively.

Over 100 pairs of buffaloes took part in the Kambala. Kambala Samithi’s Sujith Pratapnagar, Preetham Rai, Lokesh Shetty, Harish Rai, Prakash Garodi and Sachin Shetty were present.
