Mangaluru, Mar 25, 2023: The first list of candidates released by the Congress has five names from Dakshina Kannada. Youth Congress leader Mithun Rai has been chosen as party candidate from Mulki-Moodbidri constituency, while veteran leader Ramanatha Rai will be the Congress candidate from the prestigious Bantwal constituency.

Sitting MLA U T Khader has been given another chance to contest from Mangaluru constituency. Krishnappa G has been chosen party candidate from Sullia (SC reserved) while Rakshit Shivaram will be the candidate from Belthangady.
