Ramanatha Rai seeks SIT probe into ‘politically motivated murders’

Mangaluru, May 26, 2023: Senior Congress leader B Ramanatha Rai has urged the state government to form a Special Investigation Team to investigate into the “politically motivated murders that took place in the district.

 

 

 

Speaking to reporters at the Congress office on May 26, Friday, Rai said many youth of both the Hindu and Muslim communities have been murdered in the past and there needs to be a probe by the government in this regard. The government must prepare a list of politically motivated murders and conduct a probe he said. He also claimed that the Congress workers were not involved in any such murders.

He further said the Congress government would not tolerate any instances of violence.
