Renovated Theertha Sarovar of Kudupu Temple to be inaugurated on Nov 22

Mangalore, Nov 21, 2013: The lake of the famous Sri Anantha Padmanabha Temple at Kudupu will be inaugurated on November 22 in the presence of Sri Vidya Prasanna Theertha Swamiji of Subrahmanya Mutt. The temple lake is known as ‘Bhadra Saraswathi Theertha Sarovara.’

DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai will preside over the function while Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, Jayaram Bhat, Managing Director of Karnataka Bank, Jayaprakash, Assistant Commissioner of Mujrai Department, Moidin Bava, MLA and  Vijaynath Vittal Shetty,  Chief Co-ordinator of Sri Shastavu Bhoothanatheshwara Temple will participate as chief guests.

 

 

K Krishna Raj Tantri, Working President of Temple Renovation Committee, informed that  the temple is being renovated at a cost of Rs 9 crore. The annual celebrations of the Kudupu Temple will begin from December 3 and the Kiru Shashti Utsav will be on January 6, 2014, he informed.

The religious retuals are scheduled as follows: ‘Sarpa Vaahanostava’ on December 5, ‘Skunda Panchami’ on December 5, ‘Skanda Panchami’ on December 7, ‘Shasti Mohostava’ on December 8, ‘Dwajaarohana’ on December 15, ‘Avabruthotsava’ on December 18, ‘Jaarandaya Nema’ on December 19 and ‘Kirishasti Utsava will be celebrated on January 6, 2014.
