Renowned agriculturist Dr L C Soans of Soans Farms, no more

Mangaluru, April 05, 2023: Dr L C Soans, a renowned agriculturist who was popularly known as Krishi Rishi of the famed Soans Farms of Bannadka in Moodbidri, passed away on April 5, Wednesday morning. He was 89 years old and is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

 

Dr Livingston Chandramohan (L C) Soans who was born on April 4, 1934 had completed 89 years of age just on Tuesday. He had dedicated his life for agriculture and his Soans farm was a testimony to his ceaseless efforts.

He was also active in various social service organisations  and was a recipient of numerous awards including District level Rajyotsava Award, Best Farmer Award given by Hiriadka Rural Development Foundation, state level award from Bagalakote Horticultural University and Best Horticultural Achiever Award from Bengaluru  University of Agricultural Sciences.
