Mangaluru, March 15, 2025: Guruprasad Adyanthaya, a distinguished industrialist, Director of the Lamina Group, and Trustee of the Nitte Education Trust, passed away on March 14, 2025, following a severe heart attack in Mangaluru. He was 73 years old and is survived by his wife.
Known for his humility, soft-spoken nature, kindness, and entrepreneurial spirit, Guruprasad Adyanthaya was a respected figure in the industrial and commercial circles of Dakshina Kannada. Entrepreneurship, a rare gift, was one of his defining traits, enabling him to excel in his field and maintain a prominent position throughout his career.
Guruprasad began his professional journey in Mangaluru as a Director of Lamina Suspension Products Ltd., a company established by Sri. N V Hegde in 1976. He played a pivotal role in building the company’s sales network and marketing automobile springs and spare components. His efforts not only led to success but also helped the company dominate the highly competitive spare-parts market. Additionally, he expanded the company’s global reach by establishing Lamina International, a subsidiary of Lamina Suspension Products Ltd.
In recent years, Guruprasad had been battling kidney-related ailments and was undergoing regular dialysis. On March 12, 2025, he suffered a major heart attack and, despite medical efforts, could not recover. He passed away on the evening of March 14, 2025. May his soul rest in peace.
His mortal remains will be kept for public viewing at 3103, Planet SKF, Kadri, Mangaluru from 9-30 AM to 12 -30 PM (March 15, 2025)
