Retired SP who caused accident in drunken stupor arrested; released

Mangaluru, Jan 28, 2019: Retired SP Mitra Heraje who drove his car in a drunken stupor on the wrong side and injured two scooterists late night on January 26, Saturday was arrested and subsequently released.
The incident had taken place near the Circuit House at around 11.30 pm on Saturday. Latish Kumar and Nitish from Dambel, Ashoknagar who were riding a scooter were injured when Heraje’s car knocked them down. Both are hospitalised.
Traffic East Police have registered a case under IPC Section 279 and 338 against Mitra Heraje.
