Mangaluru, April 1, 2017: The revised toll at NITK toll plaza for light vehicles like cars, jeeps, vans and other light vehicles will be Rs 50 for a one way travel and Rs 70 for two-way as against the earlier charges of Rs 45 and 70 respectively. Toll at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal (NH 66) and Brahmarakootlu in B C Road (NH 75) have been revised and will come into effect from April 1.
The monthly charges for 50 trips have been hiked to Rs 1,600 from Rs 1,535. The fee for commercial vehicles registered in the district has been fixed at Rs 25.
For light commercial vehicles, light goods vehicles and mini buses, one way travel will cost Rs 80 (earlier Rs 75). For two-way travel, these vehicles have to pay Rs 115 (Rs 110). The monthly pass will cost Rs 2,585 instead of 2,435.
Buses and trucks with two axle will have to pay Rs 165 (Rs 155) for one-way journey. For two-way toll, charges have been increased from Rs 235 to Rs 245. The monthly pass with 50 trips has been hiked to Rs 5,420 (from Rs 5,105).
Three-axle commercial vehicles will have to pay Rs 175 (Rs 170). For a two-way journey on the same day, charges will be Rs 265 (Rs 255).
Monthly passes for the vehicles will cost Rs 5,915 (Rs 5,670). Similarly, the toll for earth movers, multi axle vehicles (four to six axles) has been increased to Rs 255 (Rs 240) for one-way travel. For two-way travel, the toll is Rs 385 (Rs 360).
The toll for seven and above axles is Rs 310 (Rs 300) for one-way while it is Rs 465 (Rs 445) for a two-way ride.
At Brahmarakootlu : The toll for cars, jeeps, vans and light motor vehicles will be Rs 25 for one-way travel (Rs 20). There will be no change in the toll for two-way journey which has been maintained at Rs 35.
The monthly pass for 50 trips will cost Rs 770 (from Rs 735). There will be no change in the toll for light commercial vehicles, light goods vehicles, mini buses and will be Rs 35 for a one way trip and Rs 50 for a two-way journey. The monthly pass will cost Rs 1,240 (Rs 1,190).
Buses and trucks with two axle will have to pay Rs 80 (Rs 75) for one-way journey. The monthly passes will cost Rs 2,600 (Rs 2,495).
The toll for three axle commercial vehicles will be Rs 85 (Rs 80) for one-way and 130 for two-way journey.
The monthly pass charges will be Rs 2,840 (from Rs 2,720).
For the multi axle vehicles (four to six axles), the toll charge is Rs 120 (from Rs 115) for one-way travel and Rs 180 (Rs 175) for two-way travel.
The monthly pass would cost Rs 4,080 (from Rs 3,915).
For heavy vehicles with seven and above axles, the toll would be Rs 145 for one-way and Rs 225 (Rs 215) for two-way travel.
