The event was graced by prominent dignitaries and legal luminaries such as Hon’ble Dr. R. Venkataramani, Attorney General of India and Adv. Sri. Shahul Hameed Rahman, Addl. Speaking on the occasion, Poojya Dr. D. Veerendra Heggadeji, President of SDME Society said "The quality of education and an institution’s reputation cannot be measured solely by financial benefits. The profession a student chooses, guided by the institution, is of utmost importance. As educators, we must empower students to achieve their goals.

Today’s alumni gathering highlights this vision, with our accomplished legal experts returning to demonstrate how an institution can create a solid foundation for success. Our college has consistently shown how the legal profession upholds the Constitution and fosters discipline among aspiring legal professionals. Law, once undervalued, is now one of the most respected professions. At SDM Law College, we take pride in providing quality education and preparing students to protect our judicial system."

Adding to this sentiment, Dr. R Venkat Ramani, Attorney General of India, “It is an honor to be part of the 50-year celebration of SDM Law College. With unwavering confidence, I can say that this institution is destined to grow and thrive well beyond a century. As an alumnus, it fills me with immense joy and pride to be here, and I take this opportunity to pay my heartfelt respects to my professors, who guided me on the path to enlightenment.

The evolution and growth of legal studies in Asian countries have transformed them into centers of excellence, making the pursuit of law more accessible to students, as compared to celebrity institutions. This vision could only be realized by a leader like Poojya Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, whose dedication has not only made education more approachable but has also inspired countless students to take up law.”

Further on Dr. R Venkat Ramani added “I extend my deepest gratitude and heartfelt congratulations to SDM Law College for completing this remarkable 50-year journey. Their unwavering commitment to strengthening India’s judicial system is truly commendable.”

The day concluded with a vibrant cultural program performed by the alumni, celebrating the institution’s spirit and camaraderie. The grand finale featured a traditional Yakshagana performance at the SDM Law College Auditorium, presented by students and alumni, leaving the audience spellbound. The second day of SDM Law College’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, ’Suvarna Patha,’ proved to be a testament to the institution’s unwavering commitment to legal education and societal progress.
