Sahana ShettyMangalore, September 14: Sahana Shetty,  student of Buruj English Medium School, Bantwal, has bagged silver medal for her outstanding performance in Karate Kumite at the 4th Nepal Shotokon Karate Association (NASKA) International Karate Championship 2010 held in Kathmandu, Nepal.


Speaking to Mangaloretoday, Sarfaraz, Coach of Sahana, said that six year old Sahana has received second place in the Karate Championship which was organised by the National Sports Council in association with Nepal Karate Federation and NASA. Mokshith M Shetty and Habib Abdul Kadeer, who also participated in the Karate competition, have also succeeded to reach quarter finals, he said.

 

Nadeem, who was present at the press conference said that the students of Bantwala based Buruj English Medium school have received many awards in state and national level. The faculties of Buruj English Medium School are very happy as they constantly encouraged the students to take part in various kinds of sports and extra curricular activities, he added.
