Mangaluru, August 15, 2024: Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru, in association with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, is organizing a one-day orientation program titled “The Impact of Research and Development on the Education System” on 19th August 2024 at the Sahyadri Campus.


Research and Development (R&D) plays a vital role in curriculum development, ensuring that educational content remains relevant, effective, and up-to-date. This one-day orientation program aims to elucidate the profound impact of R&D initiatives on the education system. Through insightful case studies, participants will gain an understanding of how the successful integration of R&D practices has transformed education systems globally.

The program will explore emerging trends and cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of education, emphasizing the crucial role of R&D endeavours. Interactive sessions and presentations will enable participants to explore practical applications and strategies for implementing R&D insights within their respective educational contexts.

Dr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman of Bhandary Foundation, and Dr. Vidyashankar S., Vice Chancellor of VTU Belagavi, will serve as Chief Patrons. The event will also feature Dr. B. E. Rangaswamy, Registrar, VTU; Dr. T. N. Sreenivasa, Registrar (Evaluation), VTU; and Dr. Manjappa S., Director (R&D), SCEM, as Patrons. Dr. S. S. Injaganeri, Principal, SCEM, will serve as Chairman. Dr. Basava Kumar K.G., Director (R&D), Global Campus, VTU Belagavi; Dr. Rathishchandra R. Gatti, Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical & Robotics Engineering, SCEM; and Dr. Ajith B.S., Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean (IPR), SCEM, will act as Conveners, supported by all SCEM staff members.
