Bantwal, Mar 15: The South Karnataka Salfi Movement (SKSM) has organized one day Salafi conference “Islam for peace, not for violence”, on Sunday March 14 at Nandavara, Bantwal.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr V S Acharya, State Home Minister, said his wish to learn more about South Karnataka Salafi Movement, in his free time. He urged people to extend their full co-operation to maintain law and order in the state.
He suggested all the religion to work for states happy and prosperous as the government trying for states happy and prosperous. He applauded the efforts of Salafi Movement that emphasizes peace, harmony and education of women.
On the occasion he released a book ‘Mokshada Marga’ as well as launched the www.salafimovement.com website.
Ahmed Ansar , SKSM central committee president, inaugurated the programme and Sammelan welcome committee president Basheer Ahmed presided over the function.
MLA Yogish Bhat, Sushma Janardhan, G Anand, Chandrahas Ucchil, Mangalore City Corporation chief whip Ranganath Kini, welcome committee chief convener Sarafuddin, community leaders Nazeer Ahmed, Abubaker K, G Abdul Razak Goltamajal, U N Abdul Razak, Mohammed Iliyas, Riyaz Ahmed, and Mohammed Gulam were present.
