Saudi group to open hospital in MangaloreDecember 23 :  Saudi Arabia’’s leading healthcare group Badr Al Samaa has said it is targeting Indian market with a 300-bedded super specialty hospital in Mangalore.


"A 300 bed super specialty hospital is getting ready in Manglore, India. It will be inaugurated in February 2011" VT Vinod, Director of the Group, said.


"In order to widen the services for the benefit of existing healthcare customers in the GCC, Badr Al Samaa joined hands with Wellspring India Medtour Pvt Ltd, an Indian healthcare facilitation center, which has a panel of 20 super specialty hospitals in India," VT Vinod, Director of the Group, told Emirates 24/7.


Vinod said all these hospitals have international accreditation and globally trained and certified doctors.


The group will also invest USD 40 million (150 million dirhams) to set up 10 medical centers in the UAE.


Badr Al Samaa runs Al Hilal Hospital in Bahrain and a chain of polyclinics, pharmacies and hospitals in Saudi Arabia.


The group now has eight hospitals and clinics across the region.
