Serial Killer Mohan’s Case Might be Transferred to CID

According to Mr. Ajai Kumar Singh, the director general of police, the case of serial killer Mohan Kumar alias Anand might be handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). He said that the police would focus on cracking the cases of missing women every month and that establishing a special agency to handle missing persons cases was unnecessary.

The DGP also revealed that the state government has sanctioned a sum of Rs 20 crores for investigative purposes, which would be put to good use by the police department. Singh also awarded Rs. 1.08 lakhs to the team that worked hard to crack the case of serial killer Mohan Kumar.

According to Superintendent A S Rao, the DGP had spoken to all police officers concerned regarding the necessity of handing over the case to the CID. He said that the police would decide whether to hand over the case to the CID within a couple of days.
