Mangaluru, Jan 19, 2024: The inauguration of Sixth-edition of Mangalore lit fest organised by Bharath Foundation in collaboration with Mythic society unfolded on Jan 19, 2024 at the TMA Pai International Convention centre, Mangalore, setting the stage for vibrant celebration of Literature and ideas.

The event buzzed with excitement as a palanquin procession of books was held marking the opening of the Mangalore lit fest. The inaugural event began with lighting of lamp by the honorary guests Lakshmisha Tolpadi, Central Sahitya Akademi award winner; Ravi, Secretary, Mythic Society, Sunil Kulkarni, Shriraj Gudi and Captain Brijesh Chawta Trustees of Bharath Foundation were in the stage.

Laxmisha Tolpadi while addressing the gathering emphasized on correlation between understanding our own personalities and delving into literature with same Level of introspection. He also beautifully illustrated the profound connection between mythology and literature, citing the Ramayana as a compelling example, he also said "Studying literature is similar to analysing a cultural atom. Literature is a challenge; Literature is a penance. Mind is nothing but language."

Further Trustee of The Mythic Society Shri S Ravi felicitated Lakshmisha Tolpadi Ravi, highlighted the organization’s achievements and shared insights into this year’s two-day sessions, focused on the theme of Bharath. He conveyed his heartfelt wishes for the success of the ongoing program.

Later, Ajakala Girish Bhat, G B Harish and other launched a book titled ‘Idea of Bharat: Interactions of identity and beyond’ edited by Dr. Nandan Prabhu of TAPMI was released
Trustee  of Vanita Seva Samaj Institution Madura Hegde honoured with this year’s Mangalore lit fest award. Vanita Seva Samaj Institution which is the serving pillar for the poor, orphans, unprivileged and exploited women’s.

The whole spotlight intensified with the performances of students of Alva’s Education Foundation and by renowned Bharatanatyam artist Radhe Jaggi captivating the audience with their mesmerizing performances.

Sunil Kulkarni, trustee of Bharat foundation welcomed the gathering, while RJ Abhishek Shetty and Nidhi Hegde took charge as the masters of ceremony.
