Dawalsab, who was initially rescued from Wenlock Government Hospital in Mangalore on November 9, 2019, had been living at the Snehalaya Centre under the name "Bablu." Unable to communicate his identity, he received essential care and support from the dedicated staff at the centre.

A major breakthrough occurred when the Aadhaar Seva Kendra in Mangalore, despite initial setbacks, managed to retrieve Bablu’s old Aadhaar details. This revealed his true identity as Dawalsab Darubai. With the assistance of the Hubli Police Station, contact was established with his father, who had been desperately searching for his son.

The reunion was confirmed through a heartfelt video call, where Dawalsab’s family recognized him instantly. On the auspicious day of Moharam, Dawalsab’s family arrived at the Snehalaya Centre, leading to a deeply emotional reunion filled with tears, hugs, and expressions of gratitude.

Dawalsab’s parents expressed immense thanks to the Snehalaya team for their relentless dedication and selfless service. This inspiring story showcases the profound impact of empathy and determination, highlighting how Snehalaya’s commitment to serving society brought a lost son back to his family.

The reunion not only marked a joyous occasion for Dawalsab’s family but also served as a testament to the powerful role of community and social organizations in transforming lives.
