Mangaluru, Sep 18 2017: The Mangalore Uni Department of Sociology, has organised a national conference on ‘Understanding social change in contemporary India’, today, September 18 Monday at the Department seminar hall in the University at 10 am.
Prof G K Karanth, former faculty, ISEC, Bangalore, will inaugurate the programme and deliver the keynote address. The conference is organised to commemorate the birth centenary of Prof M N Srinivas, an eminent sociologist at Karnataka. vice chancellor Prof K Byrappa will preside.
