Special Children Have a Special Diwali

20October 2009

Manjunatha Friends Circle Kadri and State Bank of India brought a sparkle into the lives of the special children of “Saanidya Samartha,” a residential school in Shaktinagar, by celebrating Diwali in a colorful manner with them.

The chief guest of the occasion was V Ponnuraj, the deputy commissioner. During the programme, the school’s benefactors, Bhaskar and family, were honored.

The children took part in the entertainment programme and burst crackers in the premises of an attractively illuminated and decorated school.

Puttaswami, the deputy director of the Children’s Welfare Department; Viswas Kumar Das, the congress leader; Amrith Kadri, the businessman; members of the Manjunatha Friends Circle; Mahabala Marla, the president of the school management committee; and Vasanth Shetty, its secretary were also present on the occasion
