Mangaluru, July 08, 2022: In a tragic incident, a person who was inside a stationed car lost his life after a speeding lorry crashed into the car near the Honnakatte signal in Suratkal police station limits on July 8, Friday afternoon.
The deceased is Lokanath, a resident of Gokulnagar in Kulai. Lokanath had stopped his car on the roadside near the Honnakatte signal in order to cross the road when the lorry rammed into the car.
It is learnt, Lokanath died on the spot. A two-wheeler which was near the car was also damaged. The rider had a narrow escape as he jumped off his scooter.
Mangaluru NorthTraffic Police have visited the spot and registered a case.
