St Joseph Engineering College gets into an MoU with INDWELL Automation

Mangaluru, Sep 11, 2021: Adding to the tally of an impressive list of existing MoUs, St Joseph Engineering College, (SJEC), Mangaluru signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INDWELL Automation Pvt Ltd, Mangaluru, to impart training to its students and staff in the field of advanced industrial automation technologies. This MoU will help the college to bridge the technical gap, improve the technical competence, employability and entrepreneurship of students and also, motivate the students to pursue higher studies with research orientation.

The MoU was signed by the Directors of both the organizations, Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza for SJEC and Mr Himanshu Kumar for INDWELL Automation Pvt Ltd, in the presence of Rev. Fr Alwyn D’Souza, Assistant Director of SJEC, Dr Rio D’Souza, Principal of SJEC, Mr Rakesh Lobo, HR Manager, Dr Purushothama Chippar, HOD of Mechanical Engineering, Dr Sudheer M, Dean of Research & Development and Ms Diana Monteiro, Collaborations Officer at SJEC. The main objective of this pact is to establish a Centre for Excellence for training while promoting research in advanced industrial automation technologies within the college campus.

The training would enable the students to gain employable skills during their studies and also help them to be aware of the latest tools and techniques at an affordable fee to be industry-ready at the end of their graduation. Tie-up with INDWELL Automation would also open up more employment avenues for the students and build their confidence to face real-time challenges.
