State govt must ensure Kasturi Rangan Report is cancelled: Ramanatha Rai

Mangaluru, Dec 22, 2022: The state government which has stated that it opposed the Kasturi Rangan Report must instead strive to get the report cancelled, urged senior Congress leader B Ramanatha Rai.

 

 

 

Speaking to reporters at the Congress office on December 22, Thursday, Rai recalled how during the Congress regime in the state the BJP had staged several protests against the report. Now there is a double engine government in the state, let it ensure that measures are taken to cancel the report rather than merely saying it opposes it, Rai said adding the BJP’s move only aimed at political gains.

The BJP in its previous manifesto too had assured to get the Kasturi Rangan Report cancelled but could not do so in five years, he said.

Congress leaders Shalet Pinto, Shashidhar Hegde, Shahul Hameed, Appi and others were present.
