Udupi, July 18, 2016: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje has alleged that the Rs 3,600 crores released by the Union Government to Karnataka for drinking water supply had not reached the local administrative bodies.
Addressing party workers after inaugurating the District Executive Committee Meeting of the party here on July 17, Sunday, Shobha also stated that the dredging work at Kodi Kanyana harbour has not yet started despite the Union Government providing a grant of Rs 6.5 crore for the purpose.
She also accused the state government of pursuing an anti-farmer policy. The government achievement in the past three years is nil and the BJP workers need to fight against the government and work towards helping the party rise to power in the next elections, said Shobha.
State Secretary Tingale Vikramarjun Hegde, Legislator Sunil Kumar, District BJP President Mattar Ratnaker Hegde and other party leaders were present.
