Mangaluru, July 15, 2022: The dept of psychiatry, KSHEMA in collaboration with the dept of BSW, Alvas college Moodabidri, organized a street play on observation of International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking on 15-07-2022.

 

 

 

 

The programme was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr) Sumalatha Shetty, Incharge MS of K S Hegde hospital. Dr Shrinivas Bhat, HOD, Dept of Psychiatry gave introduction to the days programme. Dr Madhumala, HOD, Dept of BSW, Alvas college and Dr Satheesh Rao were present on the dias. As a chief guest Dr Sumalatha stressed upon the importance of awareness on drug abuse and the responsibilities of citizens in curbing this menace from  the society. Dr Jonathan, Sr Resident of dept of Psychiatry welcomed the guests. Mrs Suman Pinto, Counsellor, Dept of Psychiatry  proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs Agneita Aimon was the master of ceremony. Students from   Batchelor of Socialwork performed  the street play on Drug Addiction and its impacts at K S Hegde Hospital premises, KSRTC Bus Stand, Bejai and at the city centre mall, Mangalore .
