Student death case : Bus driver, conductor arrested

Mangaluru, Sep 19, 2022: Police have arrested the driver and conductor of a private bus in connection with the recent incident wherein a PUC student fell off the bus and later was declared brain dead due to the severe head injuries he suffered.

 

Those arrested are Karthik R Shetty (30), of Kuppepadavu who is the driver of the bus and Dhamsheer (30) of Amblamogaru who is the conductor. Both have been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.

It may be recalled here that 16 year old Yashraj, son of Mamatha and  Tyagaraj of Ullal Mastikatte who was travelling in the bus from Ullal had fell down at Adam Kudru on September 7. He had suffered serious injuries and was declared brain dead on September 13. His vital organs were later donated.

Yashraj was a first PUC student at St Aloysius College.
