Mangalore, Sep 2, 2013: Dr Ravindranath Shanbhogue, President of Human Rights Protection Foundation of Udupi, has exhorted students to consider social service as one of their most important duties.


He was speaking after inaugurating a convention of Presidents and Secretaries of ABVP units of various colleges in DK, Udupi and Kodagu districts at the Sanghaniketan in Mangalore on September 1, Sunday. The programme was organised by Mangalore unit of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad.

Continuing, he said the unrest in the nation was not  due to any external force and added we ourselves are to be blamed for it.

N Ravikumar, Organising Secretary of ABVP who also spoke,  said  there is a need for students to   think about the future of the nation along with their own future. They should discuss the problems confronting the nation  and work towards resolving the same.

Keshava Bangera, ABVP District Pramukh, presided over the function. City unit Secretary Chethan L,  State Secretary Ramesh K, city unit President Balakrishna and others were present.
