Sullia, December 30, 2024: An Eichur truck transporting paddy caught fire and was gutted while passing through Jodupala near Aranthodu late night on December 28.

The truck was on way to Udupi from H D Kote when fire broke out. The driver and the cleaner of the truck rushed out of the vehicle on noticing the sparks and saved themselves. The truck however was completely destroyed.

The mishap disrupted traffic on the highway for several hours.
