UDUPI, Oct 22, 2013 : KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar has informed that the Chief Minister has released Rs 10 crores for the revival of the Brahmavar sugar Factory.
Addressing a party workers meeting at the Brahmagiri Congress Bhavan on October 21, Monday, he said the Congress government in the state is committed to its promise to revive the sugar factory. He also informed that the government has initiated steps to fulfill 68 out of the 198 assurances given by it prior to the elections.
He gave a clarion call to the party workers to accept the 2014 Lok Sabha elections as a challenge and ensure the victory of the party in all constituencies.
Parameshwar further lashed out at the BJP for only pinpointing the defects of the UPA government and sidelining its good works.
AICC Secretary Dr Selva Kumar, Urban Development Minister Vinaykumar Sorake, MP K Jayaprakash Hegde, MLA Pramod Madhwaraj, KPCC leaders Pratapchandra Shetty, KP Nanjundi, MA Gafur, Block Congress Presidents and several Congress leaders were present.
