Mangaluru, January 13, 2025: A clash between two groups over the issue of a lighter resulted in attack with beer bottles at Ganesh Katte in Tannirbavi on Sunday night. Two separate cases have been registered in Panambur police station in this regard.


Comunal clash


At around 11.45 pm on Sunday, Preetham, Sanveeth and others approached Venkatesh, Karthik, Santosh, Saif, Dhanush and Prajwal who were consuming alcohol and smoking and sought cigar lighter from them. They were given the lighter by Prajwal. However reportedly refused to return it resulting in the clash with the two groups attacking each other with beer bottles and sticks.

Both the groups have lodged complaint and counter complaint.
