Thousands witness grand Kodial Theru of Shree Venkataramana Temple, Carstreet

Mangaluru, Feb 20, 2021: The Annual Car Festival popularly known as the Kodial Theru of Shree Venkataramana Temple at Carstreet was held with grandeur on February 19, Friday in the presence of thousands of devotees who were soaked in devotion and felt blessed to be a part of this divine festivity.

Srimad Samyameendra Theertha Swamiji, the pontiff of the Kashi Mutt Samsthan graced the occasion.

Earlier in the morning various rituals including Pachamritabhisheka, Kanakabhisheka, Gangabhisheka and Shatakalalshabhisheka were offered to the Lord.

In the evening the idols of Lord Veera Venkatesha and Srinivasa were brought to the beautifully decorated golden palanquin after taking them around the temple as per the tradition.

The Lord was offered Mangalarathi after placing the idol in the chariot and later the chariot was drawn by devotees.
