Mangaluru, August 14, 2024: A Tiranga Yatra will be held from Karavali Utsav Grounds till Manjeshwar Govind Pai Circle on August 14, Wednesday, on the eve of Independence Day.
Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta said the Yatra is being held to showcase the unity and integrity of the nation. He urged the public to participate in the Yatra and said only cloth made flags will be used. Students of various schools too are expected to participate in the yatra which is scheduled to begin at 3.30 pm.
An exhibition will also be held at Bhuvanendra Hall of Canara School, Dongerkeri to sensitize public on the dark days of Partition.
