Traffic disrupted as huge container lorry gets stuck in slush on Charmady Ghat

Belthangady, May 20, 2024: Vehicular movement on the Charmady Ghat was disrupted for nearly two hours on Sunday after a huge container lorry with 32 tyres got stuck  while negotiating a curve.

The front portion of the lorry got stuck in the slush. Though initially vehicles moved in the place available on the road side, soon the tyres of a KSRTC bus also got stuck resulting in a serpentine queue of vehicles on either side.

Though measures were taken to ensure smooth movement of vehicles, on Sunday night a KSRTC bus developed a snag on the sixth curve hindering traffic for some time again.
