Tragic accident in Karkala: Bike rider killed after collision with lorry

Karkala, December 19, 2024: A tragic accident occurred near the Sharada stage by the Neere Post Office on Dec 18, where a lorry collided with a bike, resulting in the death of the rider.
The deceased has been identified as Raju. It is reported that the lorry, traveling from Udupi towards Karkala, collided with the bike heading from Bailur towards Udupi. Following the collision, the rider, Raju, fell onto the road along with the bike and sustained severe injuries. Despite receiving treatment at Manipal Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
A case has been registered at the Karkala Town Police Station regarding the incident.
