Belthangady, Dec 12: The centre of attraction of the World Tulu Conference is the typical Tulu village called as ”Tulu Grama” which is recreated as an replica of a rural real-life, spread over more than 8 acres of land at Ajjerakallu, has evoked a great deal of interest. Ajjerakallu is recreated by veteran artists Jagadish Ammunje and Jeevanram Sullia. ‘Model Tulu Grama’, showcase ancient rich Tulu culture and heritage. The traditional wedding of a Gowda family can be witnessed in the model village in a the temple.
”Tulu Grama” also include a village school, temple, “garadi” (wrestling school), beaten-rice maker, jaggery-making unit also sells the fresh juice from sugarcane crushed in the buffalo-driven “gana” (mill) at the grama, a carpenter’s house, and the “guttina mane” (traditional manor house).
