Mangalore, Sep 26, 2013: The Tulu film ‘Rickshaw Driver’ produced under the banner Sri Muthu Film will hit the silver screen on September 27, Thursday.
Speaking at the press meet held at Cinepolis, City Centre on September 26, Wednesday, film director Ha Su Rajashekar said that the film depicts how rickshaw drivers are helpful to people. It will focus on the giving a message of communal harmony. The movie is a well balanced, well blended, with a moral and social message. It also conveys how women and children should be alert and take precautions while travelling by autos.
He said that renowned Kannada actors like Avinash (Aaptamithra fame) Padmaja Rao (Mugarumale fame) Chitra Shenoy, Suresh Mangalore are in the lead roles will work for the Tulu film industry for the first time.
Jenny, a famous belly dancer from Russia, has been specially flown in for the film. Karthik Banjan (Karthik Attavar) will play a lead role as a hero in the movie, while Sara Sharma from Mumbai (Telugu actress) and Neha Saxena from Delhi (Kannada, Telugu actress) are the lead heroines.
Producer Praveen Kumar Konchady said that the presence of Tulunadu comedy kings like Naveen D Padil (in double role) Arvind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Satish Bandale and comedians from ‘Bale Thelipale’ television show will give an added flavor to the film. Naveen D Padil’s African dance and Arvind Bolar’s ‘open Gangam style’ dance are the other highlights of the film.
Hindi singer Udit Narayan, Shankar Mahadevan, Ringa Ringa fame Priya Himesh, Ah Aante Amalapura fame Malathi, Saindavi and Kannada singers like Rajesh Krishnan, Chaitra, Baby Hiranmayi and Mangalore fame Anita D’Souza have sung for the film.
The film will be screened at Cinepolis and Big Cinema in Mangalore, Alankar in Udupi, Arun in Puttur, Nakshatra in B C Road.
Film Hero Karthik Attavar, heroine Neha Saxena, music director Wahab Saleem Puttur, comedians Bhojraj Vamanjur, Aravind Bolar and other were present.
