Two arrested for smuggling drugs into district prison

Mangaluru, Feb 19, 2023: The CCB police arrested two persons who were carrying MDMA along with a pickle packet, while meeting an undertrial at the district prison on Thursday.
Based on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid, and seized three grams of MDMA, 1.3g of weed oil worth Rs 5,000, along with pickle, fruits, bakery items and a mobile phone.
The arrested accused are Deekshith Kapikad and Abhishek alias Abhi. A case has been registered at the Barke Police Station.
