Udupi, September 24, 2024: Udupi police arrested eight workers of Chattisgarh origin on the charges of disturbing public peace by clashing with each other near the AGP labour colony at Nayampalli village on Monday.

The accused namely Mukhram, Subhash Kumar, Ashim, Vikas, Sant lal, Vishal, Magesh, Akhilesh who had come to Udupi for pipeline works were residing in a nearby shed. However on Monday they clashed with each other over a trivial issue creating a panicky situation.


Public clash


Police who rushed to the spot, detained the men and registered a suo moto case.

Some of those arrested have sustained minor injuries in the clash.
