Udupi: Bike rider dies in horrific collision; truck gutted

Kaup, January 11, 2025: A bike rider lost his life in a horrific collision between his two-wheeler and a truck near Udyavar Korangrapady on the NH 66 at around midnight on January 10, Friday. The truck caught fire and was gutted soon after the collision.

The deceased is Avinash Acharya (19). He was on way to Paniyoor from Udyavar after attending a programme at the residence of an acquaintance. Avinash was a para medical student and he died on the spot due to serious injuries.

The truck which went up in flames soon after the collision was completely. The bike was found under the truck.

Kaup police are investigating the case.
