Udupi : Bus- ambulance collision on Heroor bridge disrupts traffic

Udupi, Dec 19, 2016: An accident involving a bus and an ambulance on the Heroor Bridge near Brahmavar on December 19, Monday disrupted traffic right from Santhekatte to Brahmavar for over an hour.

Locals as well as the police had a tough time in getting out the driver of the ambulance who was trapped inside due to the impact of the collision.

If the bus was heading towards Udupi from Brahmavar, the ambulance was heading towards Brahmavar. It is being said that the allowing of two-way traffic on the Heroor bridge due to the repair work on the old bridge, resulted in the tragedy.

Sources revealed that it took nearly 45 minutes to get the trapped driver out and rush him to the hospital.

The reckless and speed of Udupi buses will never end even after so many are killed in such incidents .
