Udupi, November 18, 2024: A city bus driver was found dead in a plastic water drum in a suspicious manner at Palekatte in Kodavoor village of Udupi district. The cause of the death is yet to be ascertained.
The deceased is Prasad (40). It is learnt, Prasad who was the driver of a city bus was also an alcoholic and suffering from depression. His body was found in a water filled drum near his house with injury marks and blood stains on the body giving room for suspicion as well as fear in the locality.
Jayan Malpe, leader of the Dalit Sangharsha Samithi has demanded a probe into the case.
Malpe police have registered a case.
