Udupi, October 10, 2024: A pedestrian lost his life after a speeding car which went out of control of the driver on a steep road near the Indrali Temple rammed into him and also injured many others on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased is Deepesh Devadiga (35) of Padubidri. He was an employee of Manipal Press and had come to visit Indrali temple. He was walking towards his parked bike when the car driven by Suresh of Kelaparkala went out of control and knocked him down. Four to five others have sustained minor injuries in the mishap.

Manipal police have registered a case against the driver and have seized the car.
