Udupi: Heavy rains damage 17 houses

Udupi, June 10, 2024: Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds has damaged as many as 17 houses in Udupi district and the loss has been estimated at around Rs 6.27 lakhs.

As many as seven houses were damaged in Gujjadi, Shankernarayana, Hosangady, Kanyana, Thekkatte, Gangolli after trees fell over them. In Kalattur, Moodabettu, Hejamady villages of Kaup taluk three houses were damaged. In Byndoor, six houses suffered damages due to tree fall while in Ambalpady of Udupi, one house was partially damaged in tree fall.
