It has been a practice since ages to draw three chariots in Ratha Beedhi of the Mutt on the occasion of Makara Sankramana which is the last day of the six month Dakshinayana.

Lord Sri Krishna and Mukhyaprana idols were brought in a golden palanquin and placed in the chariots. The idol of Mukhyaprana was placed in the small chariot while  that of Lord Anantheshwara and Chandramouleshwara  in the medium chariot. The idol of Lord Krishna was placed in the  Brahmaratha. The chariots then took a round of Carstreet.

Sri Vidyasagara Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Krishnapur Mutt, Sri Vidyadheesha Theertha Swamiji of Phalimar Mutt,  Sri Vidyavallabha Theretha Swamiji of Kaniyoor Mutt, Sri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Sode Mutt and Sri Vedavardhana Theertha Swamiji of Shiroor Mutt participated in the celebration.
