Udupi, November 16, 2024: Three individuals were arrested by the CEN Police in Udupi for transporting a large quantity of ganja, which had been brought from Mumbai.
The police seized 10 kg 138 grams of ganja, valued at Rs 8,11,040. In addition to the narcotic substance, Rs 1,570 in cash and three mobile phones worth Rs 1,570 were also confiscated, bringing the total value of the seized goods to Rs 8,42,610.
The arrests took place on November 15, 2024, near K G Road Cross, Uppoor village, Brahmavar, as part of an operation led by CEN Police Station Inspector Ramachandra Nayak. The operation was carried out by a team comprising Praveen Kumar, Praveen, Prashanth, Mayappa, and Parashuram.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Satyaraj alias Thambi Anna (32), Krishna (43), and Shakilesh (25), all residents of Uppoor, Brahmavar.
A case has been registered at the CEN Police Station, and further investigations are underway. The police have vowed to continue their efforts to tackle drug trafficking in the region.
