Ullal : Public ire against traffic cops who ordered removal of Koragajja picture from car

Mangaluru, Aug 31, 2021: An incident wherein public expressed their ire against the traffic police personnel who objected to a picture of Koragajja deity  pasted near the number plate of a car, took place near the Thokkottu flyover on the  outskirts of the city on August 31, Tuesday.

 

It is learnt, a traffic police personnel who noticed a Koragajja picture  near the number plate of a car asked its driver to remove the picture. When the car driver refused, it led to an altercation and public expressed their ire against the police personnel.

The situation looked tense. However, the Ullal  police officials rushed to the spot and pacified the agitated public. South Traffic Inspector Gurudutt Kamath too visited the place and  locals demanded that the cop who objected to the Koragajja picture be  placed under suspension.
