Ullal: Young married woman’s death shrouded in mystery

Mangaluru, July 11, 2022: The death of a young married woman who reportedly committed suicide at her house at Millatnagar in Ullal police station limits is shrouded in mystery.

The incident occurred late night on Sunday. The deceased woman is Jamsheera (25). Police have taken her husband Irfan into custody for questioning.

According to Irfan, he and his wife had a quarrel last night following which Jamsheera went inside the room. She had then reportedly hanged herself from the ceiling fan.

The matter came to the notice of Irfan only in the morning and he had taken Jamsheera to hospital where doctors pronounced her dead. He had then brought the body back home and informed relatives.

According to locals, the body of Jamsheera had blood stains and they suspect this to be a murder. Over 500 people have gathered outside Irfan’s house demanding stern action against him.

Irfan who works in a fish factory in Baikampady was married two years ago and has an eight month old baby.
