Ullal’s book on Tulu alphabet released

Mangalore, May 25, 2012 : G. V. S. Ullal’s book on Tulu alphabet “Tulu Aksharamale” was released at a special book release ceremony held in the premises of the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy on May 24, Thursday.
Academy President Umanath Kotian released the book and said that Mr. Ullal has done a great job writing this book. He said that the academy will encourage all those who learn Tulu, adding that the academy will launch its own website soon and will upload the book “Tulu Aksharamale” on it.
Harikrishna Punaroor, former president of Kannada Sahitya Parishad, Bangalore, presided.
The chief guests of the event were Dr. Erya Laxminarayana Alva, chancellor of Bharata Samskruthi Prathishtana, research scholar Dr. S. R. Vighnaraj, and Lion Kishore D. Shetty.
The book contains 10 chapters, 32 pages, and a foreword written by Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, the dharmadhikari of Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala.
