Unisex salon attack: 11 including Rama Sene founder Prasad Attavar gets bail

Mangaluru, February 6, 2025: Eleven persons, including Prasad Attavar, founder of Rama Sene who were arrested on the charges of attack on a unisex salon in Bejai in Mangaluru have been granted conditional bail by the Second Additional District and Sessions Court in Mangaluru.

The police had arrested 14 persons following the attack and damage of furniture, assaulting and threatening women staff of the salon on January 23.

The organisation had claimed that immoral activities were taking place in the said salon. Following the complaint by Salon owner Sudheer Shetty, Barke police had registered a case and arrested 14 individuals.

 Following the arrest, 14 persons were produced before 6th JMFC Court in Mangaluru on January 24 and the court had remanded all in judicial custody.
