Mangalore, Feb 21: Unknown miscreants have tampered with the locks of the classrooms of St Joseph’s School, Kulshekar. The watchman of the school was the first to realize that someone had tampered with the locks, on Feb 21, Sunday.
The watchman had tried to open the lock of a classroom and discovered that someone had blocked the keyhole with a particular adhesive used to block leaks. The watchman immediately informed Fr. Valerian Pinto, the school correspondent. An inspection was conducted, after which it was discovered that the locks of most of the classrooms, including the toilets had been similarly tampered with.
Fr. Valerian Pinto, who is also the parish priest of Kulshekar, lodged a complaint at the Kadri Police Station. He stated in his complaint that he suspected certain miscreants who intended to create tension in the atmosphere of the church. Fr. Valerian considered this a serious matter as it could destroy the peace of the church premises and urged the police to find the culprits and take immediate action against them.
Members of the parish suspect a particular group, which had created similar disturbances previously. Kadri police have visited the place and registered a case.
